How Edie saved me from my own fears and pain

To my beloved son Edie, my savior

This post will be special because of two special reasons. The main player will be Eduardo and the second reason is that this will already touch his mental development.

So I was astonished by his behavior recent days and wanted to share with you.

First case study: I promised Edie to go to theatre with his nursery school group. And I was talking about it with him the whole previous week. Because I know how much he likes to be watching popets and movies and simply. He loves to be reading books and telling stories. So I put into my phone callendar the date and time of the meeting with the group. Not to forget about it.

And the day “D” we woke up quite early, we had breakfast and got dressed to be ready. And because I had in my mind that the meeting time is at 9:30 I was sure that we have plenty of time to reach that meeting place. Also Carlos stayed that day at home because I was supposed to have one business meeting later in the afternoon so for easier logistic purposes he was working from home, so I could leave also Carlitos at home with him. So great combination. I could calmly go only with Edie and enjoy being out for short time.

And then we went to the meeting place inside of the shopping mall. Outside was -10°C so it was a good reason to hide for us. Edie felt few times on the ground outside so he did not look any more that clean and ready for theater, but it did not matter that much for me. But then we were waiting 10 min, 20 min, 30 min…and still nobody else was coming. Then I thought lets check the meeting point on the website of the kinder through my phone. And by reading it…….sh..! I messed the time. I felt sooo sad. By my  silly mistake Edie lost the theatre he enjoys. And curiously in that moment I realize what have happened. That we missed that I apologized to Edie. That I am sorry, that I am silly but I confused the time of meeting with the others.

And then it happened! When he saw my sad face, he looked at me with his big eyes and said. Mom it will be fine. Do not cry! (Even I was not, thought I was about to). He Carresed and touched my head and said:” you know lets go out and enjoy the snow”! It was amazing feeling. He showed so much empathy in his early age. He saw that I am sad and he made my day better. I was so happy from it and started to feel better. I just thought, THANK YOU EDIE

Second case study: I went for Edie to kinder and because there was in the same time our friend Vojta, we decided to go together with him, his mom Ana and Carlitos in the trolley out. There was a fresh new show fall so I decided that it will be nice time for Edie to enjoy the first snow. But I did not consider that I did not prepare myself enough for the coldness outside. There was about -12°C….. brrrr hell cold. But we were walking with Ana and Vojta, talking, Carlitos was sleeping in the trolley, so everything seemed to be fine. Until Carlitos woke up after one hour and started to cry of hunger. But I could not take him out easily to feed him, because breastfeeding in -12°C is nothing pleasant. So I decided and told Edie if we could go home because of Carlitos is crying of hunger and I would prefer to go home because I was freezing. My feet were getting hell cold same as my fingers.

So what happened on the way. Edie since he had bicycle in the snow he was slow, also on purpose, enjoying the ride. He was falling also on the ground because the road was slippery. So in the beginning I understood his snow game but after a while because of crying Carlitos and my freezing body I could not stand more. So I calmly came to Edie and with the pain in my eyes I explained him what is happening. That I am freezing, that my feet and fingers hurts and that Carlitos is crying because of hunger and also that is not good for him to be crying and breathing cold wind. And I asked him if he could speed up to reach our home faster!

And again I saw Edies gase, his big eyes turn to me. He first kissed me on my cheek, after caressed my head and started to go faster. He was falling on the ground many time, without crying even with the mouth full of snow he stood up and continued riding his bike. He was doing his best, even on the places where he used to have problem to ride his bike he was strong and coped with them and overcame them. I was basically running back home, since I did not feel my fingers already. I was promising myself to get new warm shoes. And Edie was really strong. I was proud of him. And again he showed his strong empathy for his mom and he was behaving as big strong boy. And I realized a that moment how much he has grown.

So few facts to consider:

  • Edie is 2 years and 11 month old
  • He is attending nursery school since he was 1,5 year old
  • He got his brother Carlitos when he was 2 years and 2 month old
  • And he is starting to communicate in Czech and Spanish in the same time. So it is not easy to for him to grasp the full meaning of the words.

So while having not full 3 years yet he is according to my feelings very nicely psychically shaped. I am surprised every day. There are moments when he is telling me “I do not want to go home with mom from the kinder. It costs us cry and discomfort but on the other hand if needed he shows how much he cares about me. And how much he loves me. 

And in this special moments I am realizing the meaning of the sentence which said Eliska, the director of the Edie’s kindergarten

You as parent, you should never think that: 3 years of the kids age are like 2*1,5 year. And also 6 years old baby does not mean by its development double 3 years old. Always you have to consider the unique personality of every child, the environment which the baby is exposed to and also the personal characteristics of the child. And now I see, now I learn and now I accept.

8 month fairy tale and something more

Here we go, put up your hands because Carlitos reached 8 months and many improvements

Since I am lately not managing to write the posts on time, I try to remind myself by pictures what have happened that time. Though this month was special just because it was Christmas time, because of our New year Eve party with Checo-Latinos friends, because we have spend our first Christmas as only our family and also because I ended my work in Skupiner.cz and focussed fully on Lyoness.

And in the meanwhile Carlitos was growing and unbelievable improving his skills

  • his weight is now 8,150 Kg and still growing
  • He is crawling perfectly
  • He started to sit on 24th of December, he probably decided that to keep checking the presents is good by sitting among them as one of them :)
  • He grown one more tooth, so now he has 3 of them,
  • He decided also to stood up and he is about to walk
  • He is still very smiley baby and he will always be as I see. He loves to be caressed by me, he loves to be carried too to see what is happening
  • He is not that kamikaze like Edie was, he is more careful and even though he loves to observe Edie jumping and making crazy stuff, he is rather sitting and being calm. If i try to through him into the air he looks scared.
  • Even since little they have such different personalities. Carlitos is calmer, but bigger pain cryer. Edie while punching himself cried always just a bit and then he contined playing. Carlitos not. He wants to be hugged, touched and maybe after a while he will stopped. He is we called it “Mr. Bolistka” :)
  • His favourite toys are Tupperware boxes which I have in the kitchen shelf prepared for him and also draws. He loves to be opening them and closing all over again and again. He also loves to be hitting the floor with something hard so that it can make loud sounds.
  • Now he is eating 3 meals per day, He is eating a lot, more than 300g vegetables and fruits, he likes mainly everything and he preferes things which I cook for him rather than can food. And no wonder :)
  • Regarding to a sleeping. He is able to fall a sleep on his own during the night. During the day he goes once maximum twice per day. In the morning just sometimes, usually he has nap after lunch. During night he is still waking me up 3 to 4 times. He want to know if we are there. I try to feed him only 2 after midnight and then in the morning. Though he is night bird. He is able to stay until late night. During the new Year party he was up until 10pm with the smile and keeping active.

Edie and his life path

  • Edik is a very nice boy, growing and improving many skills
  • He still drives us crazy because of his crying mode, always if he does not want something he starts to cry a lot but we try to be resistant
  • He loves kindergarden KMC Knoflik now, so I always hear from him that we have to go to see the teachers “deme za pani ucitel” and if I am picking him up he is alway welcoming me with words “I do not want mamy, I do not want to go home” every day the same story. So I start to think that I am a Herodes.
  • Edicek also started to communicate more and he loves to read books. Before going to bed we try to read him every night. It is demanding but I love his gase, his staring eyes which keeps sliding on my face and are ready to hear the stories which I am creating. He likes also singing but sometimes he just ssssss mum and puts the stay quiet sign on his face. So I respect that too.
  • He loves to read letters so I went with him through the ABC and by linking different words to the different syllables he will soon be able to recognize most of them.
  • Edi has already his characteristical behavioral  patterns which are also sharing with me his teachers from kinder and it is given on our family behavior. For example if he shows affection he is licking another child od he tries to kiss him/her or he tries to go close enough to touch by noses.
  • Affection towards Carlitos is shown also by lickig his face, chewing his hands, riding him as horse, playing with him. Doing hide and seek. And in general I have to say that if Carlitos wants to cry Edie always tries to come with something silly to cheer him up. Carlitos sometimes has total laught attacts because of Edie which makes us laugh too.
  • Edik is also very attached to his grandfather Josef, my dad. Always if I mention his name he want to call him, to be with him and do silly stuff in general. Dad is also a great grandfather he is teaching Edie all the forbidden fun stuff, such as “plazit jazyk” , roll the stairs on the bicycle, jump over stuff, destroy something, eat tons of chocolate etc. Simply spoiling him as grandfather. I can also see how attached they are by the invisible connection.
  • Edie and his dad Carlos. They are very good friends. Edicek though has many times momities so only me can help him to go on toilet, to bath him, to feed him to read him books etc. There is nobody in the world and he does not want dad to do it for him. But if I am out of home they are the best friends. Playing together and he is following Carlos nicely. But if I am at home……..achhh momiiiii  ONLY YOUUUUUUUU…..I think that most of the mothers understand.

And story is over, I mean this month story, the other ones are being written by every day and I am just sometimes sad that I can not share everyday moments, because if I am just observing how my angels are growing under my hands it is unbelievable. And I believe that one morning I will turn and I will be already a grandma which will be reading this lines with grand kids and just having fun about their fathers……….. :)

7 months, teeth, crawling, laugh, darkness, talking

7 month……does it sounds lot or just few days are left behind

It is just few days ago when I realized that I need to stop doing hundred and one things at once, because I realize that that sense Carlitos will just grow besides me and I will even not catch all his special moments and will not enjoy my little once fully.

So what have happened since last month I have been wiring. And I am going to talk only about milestones for now.

Carlitos:

  • definatelly grown and is more heavy, he has still less than 8 Kg, but my hand said no more, so he spends most of his time on the floor playing with the toys, so he actually became more independent
  • He has two new teeth, they just grown after he reached his 7 month and yeah I can feel it now while breastfeeding, but the curious think is his reaction. While he bites me, sometimes for fun sometimes because of his gums are itching he always smiles at me. Even I punish him by words or I touch his face with DO NOT DO THIS AGAIN…….but he is our smily boy anyway
  • He started to crawl, but even in 7,5 month he is standing, it is visible how much he wants to be running already with Eduardo, Floor is good and safe to be but running is much better. I can see it in his eyes.
  • Carlistos is for sure the lovely baby, whenever we are he gets all the attention of girls, ladies even guys. He is always looking to the souls of the people and can touch the good insight of us. So even in my case, I love to make him happy and to do maximum for him.
  • what is also important is his sleeping habits. Since we were teached by Edie not to spoil our child too much, we started to let Carlitos fall a sleep without chewing me or bottle. So he started to be used to fall asleep on his own, which makes easier our life too. I can go out, I can continue my business or just to hang out with my friends.
  • Also Carlitos likes to eat and I am happy that he is accepting nicely his baby food vegetables which I am preparing at home. I realized that whatever vegetable mix I am doing, it is good to put inside to boil also onion, because it makes it antiseptic and help his digestion and also has nice effect of sweetening the dish. So he really likes everything I cook for him. Ufff that is easy to see him enjoying. Now he is having 2-3 dishes per day, vegetables for lunch, fruit for snack and puree for night, he is still drinking mother milk, I am fully breastfeeding him so since we have winter now, I do not have to give him extra tea, just mother milk. So far so good :)

Eduardito

  • Edik grown also a  lot. Became step more independent
  • Now he is going on his own to the toilet, he wants to have his private time :) although there are many accidents happening, so probably our toilet will be the cleanest in the world because I am cleaning his desastres nearly every day :) BUT LEARNING BY DOING is the best way to improve :)
  • He started to speak much more, he is putting words together and now we push him to speak more in sentences. He also like to learn word so me and Carlos wetought him already these letter using whole words T-tata, M-mama, O-oko, R-robot, A-auto, B-balon, C-cibule, D-dedecek/domecek, E-edicek, F-foukat, K-karlicek, L-lod, N-nos, S-slon, U-ucho, Z-zlata. I know there are some stil missing, but it will come in time. I just enjoy that he used to bring the magnetic board and he asks for to be thought.
  • In the kinder they told me that he is sometimes challenging other kids to get to conflict, just because he enjoys to complain afterwards. It is not always but many times. I have observed this behavior on him also. But not that different from other kids as I think.
  • He loves to read books, I mean to go through different stories with us, and keep listening. He likes theater and also TV as such. Those are things which keeps him calm.
  • Still he loves to help with with eveyday things. We are doing everything together, hanging clothes, cleaning, cooking, shopping, learning, working. He enjoys to talk to phone with grandpa and father. It is funny to see that he is explaining there something but the other side can not see it :)
  • He still wants to go to PISEK, sand yards even outside is cold, freezing and wet, but he will spend his life there probably. So luckily in Prague we found nice indoor playgrounds with sand where he can enjoy to play with other kids.
  • He is sweet, loves to kiss me, Carlos and Carlitos, he still likes to be hugged and caressed by mommy :)

Carlitos got his first 2 teeth

First teeth of Carlitos, 

I just like to share, you know me that’s why I decided to mention this new news. Carlitos got his 1st tooth when he was 6 month and 7 days old and his second tooth just three days after. It is so exciting to see how is he growing. Not just his length I mean but also other parts of his body are developing.

What is good

  • no fever
  • no cry
  • no pain
  • no hundred litres of salivas like Edie

Just he is biting everything what comes to his mouth. And he is STRONG and I mena really strong. 

So he will chew while world and he will grown his teeth faster and painless :)

5th and 6th moth development report

Half year and more that 2,5 year report of our angels

…..achh finally I have some spare time to write few lines about our guys, so lets be breaf and now I will try to let pictures and videos talk on behalf of me :) Imagine that

Carlitos 2 last monthes of his life

  • Carlitos weight is currently 8 785 g and his length is 72 cm……I was just wondering that I can not fit him into most of clothes which belong to his age
  • Carlito is still very smily and very talkative, he started to do grrrrr and also he is screaming like the root of mandragora, if you remeber Harry Potter movie, so exactly like those little things which make you def
  • As we know he was already turning but now he added also few falls from the bed (I know mean parents) and the recent movements are that he is training to hold on his four and by jump he is moving forward, it is quite funny to see him how much is he enjoying the life from this position
  • He loves but really loves to be caresed, kissed, touched, tuli tuli and simply while we are spending time with him, talking to him and showing different things. He also loves to observe Eduardo and many times they are just playing together. Or if we can call Eduardos crawling over Carlitos games as games :) But usually both are smiling.
  • Carlito started already to eat, he had his first spoon of carrot, he looked surprised but he was not refusing, but still he preferes booobie, and his milk
  • From his travelling adventures he visited Budapest together with me and Carlos on my 28th Bdays and he celebrated with us by attending the huge conference of Lyoness Sensation.
  • In general he loves to meet people, to do something, he loves strangers and he likes a lot smiling women. If there is some women which wants to play with him and smiles at him he is giving back all his smile
  • Carlitos loves mirrors, he loves his picture and he is able lo laugh loudly on himself.
  • Simly he is social, talkative, smily and very cute

Edik

  • The last measures were 13 kg and exactly 90 cms
  • Edik survived moving of his things to the Prague, considering that he did not understand what was happening, I now can start to understand more the feelings of the kids of parents which are getting divorce because they feel uncertain. Eduardo was also overstimulated and manytimes he was reacting more attached to his things,  like we are taking everything from him and he does no know why. Also that I was going to Prague and moving stuff only with Carlitos so he was a bit lost. But now he is happy back with his things
  • Eda started to attend kindergarten, he loved that since the first moment and after some time he is the one who is provoking the others and he is a bit the rebel as the teacher told us. Not all the time but sometime he just like to challenge us.
  • He became very skillful. Finally he is telling us eveytime he need to go to pee or pooh so he is 100% fine, just at night we used to give him diaper for his comfort. He loves to do everything on his own to put his shoes, to dress himself, to put shirt and socks and dress jacket and cup. He does not like to feel cold and start to be a bit more comfortable.
  • The words I always hear since early morning is pisek (sand), moto (motorbike), masinka (train) and caj (tea). He is speaking mostly in Czech but adding more and more words in Spanish. I like when Carlos is talking to him amd explaining things in Spanish because that way he is learning the most. So he is saying mariposa and azul as his favourite words and he can understand a lot what is he saying just doest not speak that much yet.
  • Edicek is simply independent unit, he likes to play with strangers and he does not like them in the same time. He does not enjoy much changes, while we are together he loves to stay with mom, but if I am going with him out together with Carlos he is fine with exploring new places and meeting new people.

And here we go 4 month and 1st turn

Last month update, Carlito is 4 months and Eduardo 2,5 year

There had been few things happening but very important once.

Short summary of my guys:

Carlito “Smily angel”

  • put another few hundreds grams so he has now 7,3 Kg and 62 cm
  • he started teething, so we have it again, everything with salivas, everything is sooo tasty that is worth to put it into his mouth
  • he is very smily, he loves anybody who can give him hug and smile. Who can play with him
  • He has tickles, imagine that. It is soo funny to hear him laughting, he has them nearly everywhere, like are his feet, ribs and also  on his cheecks, while I am kissing him close to his ear
  • Carlitos sleeps quite well, he has his 3 hours rhytm, but that is not difficult to follow up
  • He is making sounds like the crows, whenever if he can he tries to talk to us
  • And he started to turn. My mom saw him first, he was 4 months and 2 days old

Calritos is star, his pixies eyes and huge smile and huge eyes are attracting every women and even men tend to be playing with him. He is happy of having his brother and since he is calmer he is able to survive his love attacks, his crawl overs etc.

And our prince Eduardo

  • in general our sons started to be devided  very clearly, Edie is the crying baby, Carlitos the smiling baby
  • He has his stubborn days, when everything is going wrong, he loves word NO, and everything is no no no
  • He  is crying to get anything and I have to be very patient not to be punishing all the time, I think that Edie is my the best teacher of how much I can bear.
  • His favourite wor ds are dedecek kakadak, had sssss, azul, ostry pich pich, pozor, something is pavany (jako spinavy – dirty). He is speaking generally about anything in his own way. He is not making full sentences but connecting 2 t0 3 words.
  • He loves reading books and I made him used to go to bed together and read him fairy tale after the lunch time. So he always expect from me to stay with him and read him. His favorite book is little chicken with chicken mom and also krtecek.
  • He is still in love with cubics, he is already able to be building on his own, if he has good day and also he loves puzzle from his granddad. There is of course krtecek.
  • He love to be wathich youtube fairy tales. If we would let him he could stay there hypnotize for hours. But our routine is that he can be watching only in the evening after dinner before going to the bath and bed. Anyway he knows already how to switch on PC, so it is not big deal for him to show us what he wants.
  • Edie had also his first big trip. He became little canoe expert. His grandfather took him for first 3 days sailing trip on the real canoe. Since that time there exist only grandad and voda tsuessss bac.

Little insight from the current mood:

With all my love to my sons from their mom. I finished the post it is 1:35 am, Edie has a little cold so I heard him coughing and Carlito is sleeping nicely even he got running nose from Edie :) . It is calm and silent around and only me and our  rentee Juan is awaken.

3 month Carlitos and life changing Eduardo

3 month Carlito and 2 years and 5 month Edie

Such a simple to count their age if both of them were born in the same date :) But that is how it should I guess. Although I am still thinking about the third one, but let see, what the future will tell and also my body will accept.

So lets go to the point, how my guys, your little friends and grandsons are growing an improving.

Carlitos:

his last weight was 5,8Kg and he had 61 cm while having check up in 2nd month, so I guess since he is more heavy now and he is wearing clothes with the labels for 3-6 month and they seems to be small that he grown too as well. I went with him to doctor and he had 6,7 Kg and 62 cm.

  • Carlitos got registred as VEnezuelan. SO his official name for Venezuela is Carlos Enrique Botero Vaskova…….imagine that, because according to Latino standards kids are getting surname of mom :)
  • During the month he gor 3 in one vaccination. Which means that he got vaccinas 1. part of hexavaccination, then agains pneumococks and also  drops agains the rotaviruses (those are bad dirrhoeas types, because of what kids used to stay in the hospital because of deshidratacion).
  • Carlito is in general unbelievable talkative, I got one video which I will put here and you will laught, because he is trying to talk all the time. With his grrrrrrrrr, uhhhhh, ahhhhhh, he looks like he is having regural chat with us. He likes to comment things and when he hears some music he used to calm down and is silent. So for me it is obvious that he will like music as well as Eduardo. And even when I am singing him, he used to calm down.
  • Carlito is not crying baby at all. He has its moments but in general terms he used to smiles and he is terribly curious. He already hold his head very well, so while I am carying him in the carrier he is turning his head to be able to see everything what is happening around him.
  • If anybody comes closer, and smiles at him he gives him smile back. with his huge dark eyes he is very lovely and with his smile over whole face he looks like little angel. I know that every mom has its angel but Carito is my special one :)
  • Carlito tries to turn also, I am just waiting maybe next month it will come. He is pushing himself out of the place where I used to put him, so I guess he will try to move himself soon too. Lets see.
  • He is chewing his hands quite a lot, but he is refusing dummy so again mum’s breast is the best :) . And regarding to the amount of salivas which he is producing I guess that some teeth are on the way………no way :)
  • He is learning finally to drink from bottle. He is quite successful which makes me happy. He is drinking only mother’s milk, so far he did not have anything else and I hope I will keep feeding him. But sometimes because of business I need to run away for a while and it is good that my mom and especially Carlos can take care of him and feed him.
  • He enjoyes to be swinged in our home swing, same as Eduardo, and cries while going in the car, same as Eduardo. We were wondering with Carlos, how come that our babies cries in the car, because we heard that babies should sleep there. BUT NOT OURS!
  • Carlitos is sleeping nice during the night. He is with me in the bed for some time, but when he falls a sleep around 9 or 10pm I used to put him to his bed and he is able to sleep there until 2 or 3am, whihch is good time for me to do my own things or rest :) He also enjoyes morning naps with Carlos. They are very cute I think.

Carlito already went with me to many business mtgs, so I guess that I will grown from him some sales man. Since he attended many sales mtgs :) but that is faaaar faaaaar future :)

And in general I could see that he is very resistent against Edies love attacks. Edie loves his brother very much, so sometimes he rolls over him, he kisses him nearly to his death and tries to play different death games with him.  But in general he used to call me when Carlito is crying. He tries to take care of him and if we are together he tries to play with him too :) they are simple cute and creates nice folk.

Eduardo

His biggest success for this month was that he learned finally not to wear diapers and started to tell us for pee and pooh:)

During the time he is growing into the draculito man as we call him. He is very but very active and I think he is missing kinder. he needs to be walked outside for few hours per day or he is able to destroy house. but that is natural i guess.

He is very in love with all kids and also Carlito. he takes care of him and also wants lots of attention from me. Especially mornings are ours. When rest of the house is sleeping and he used to wake me up around 6 or 7am we go to have breakfast together and have caressing and hugging time. After I have to spend lots of time with Carlito.

He likes other kids a lot and whenever we are he loves to play with them. He loves sand yards and lego. His favourite toys are bagres and bulldozers. While seeing them on the street he is able to get lost. He forgets the world and he is able to be watching them for long time.

Edie loves to be taking things out of the shelfs and he does the mess around but he understands very well if he needs to clean its mess.   There is just sometimes fight to do it.

He has many days moaning time. If he wakes up with his bottom first, then his hard to turn his mood, but can be managed too. by constant action. I let him cook with me, to clean, wash dishes, go fir shopping etc. I just need to make him bussy.

Edie has lot of fun with talking like “deda kakadak” – grandfather truck, kocicka, mysicka, he started to say colors and trying to mix czech and spanish. It is fun.

Edie is still very active, now even more and more. I’m spending with him lot of time outside just to spend his energy.

He is very much momy boy again. He wants me to do everything for him and he loves to be caressed and cared in general.

2 month with Carlicek and 28 month with Edie

2 months new story and 2 years and 4 months continuation

Most of you my dear friends who are readers of my blog knows, that we have our new angel among us. And most of you will now believe me, that it is already 2 months since he was born. Imagine that….time flies and now having two sons I feel it even more :)

But I will not bother much this time by my phylosophical introductory thoughts and will go immediately into the point.

So how was Carlito second month of his life:

  • he started with weight of 4,5 kg and now he put 1,3 kg more….uff he start to be heavy and with nice and sweet Michelines on his legs :) I call him full fat baby because I have probably full fat milk as I can see.
  • He grown also, he was 56 cm long and now he is (we have to go for check up still, so I will tell you soon) :)
  • He is very smily baby, compare to Edie, he cries only when there is something serious happening in his life, gasses, hunger or he is sleepy
  • He is curious, that is something common in our family I guess, so he wants to be carried rather than to stay in his bed or in the trolley….he loves the carrier like Eide did, so I have back my baby infront of me..not in the belly but on the belly :)
  • He is though calmer, that is for sure, he can be also on his own some time, just lying in the sofa, next to me, observing things around….something nice to see, that he is silently curious…….yessss I can also work a bit :)
  • How is he sleeping: nicely, he used to stay much more in his cradle, which is great, because Edie he did not like it much and he was most of the time in our bed. So at least work of my dad while creating cradle is worth it now.
  • Carlicek was travelling with us everywhere so far. He likes that thought same as Edie he does not like the car seat, so I used to have to carry him or feed him during our car ride…not comfortable, but I got trained already, so nothing new :) …..there is something curious on our babies like Carlos said, both does not enjoy this car seat, both start to cry in it and does not want to fall asleep. Totally reverse effect than kids used to have. I believe that this will be until the time he will sit and could see outside, like Edie, since that time he likes to go by car…so lets see….so far, feeding and not allowed carrying baby.
  • Carlicek also very nicely holds his had, he is strong baby and even sometimes he tries to push himself forward, so I even got afraid that he will start to crawl soon……..Eide would be happy
  • He is wearing clothes in the size of 62-68, so he is growing fast…..uffff
  • He is not luckily too fragile, otherwise he will not survive his brother, he does not get scared if Edie is jumping around him, if he plays with him hide and seek and pulls his legs or hand. He is happy to observe his active sometimes crazy brother.
  • The think I enjoy the most is that they love each other. I hope that we are supporting their feelings for each other also for the future.

And because there is not any more story just of one guy I will put now few things about Eide too:

Edie has grown a lot

  • He is speaking quite nicely in his kids language, he is mixing czech and spanish words, in a way he likes that
  • Czech and Spanish favourite wocabulary: bakan (bagr), bum bac, paaa ven salia (let go out, salir-leave), snek-caracol (snale), jahudky, bindak-bib, papapu-snickers, moto, bussss, auto, pohadky, krtecek, kralik -koheno (corrrecly is conejo-rabbit), mariposa-motyl (buterfly), kubeda-had (corretly is culebra – snake), oria-mrkev (corretly is zanahoria-carrot), bambuky – brambory (potatoes), gate -pantalones(pans), pina (diaper), stul, velky stul (big table)……..and many other words, he is grasping every day something new. And he is making already some stories, like bum bac, spadnul, plakal, oko. Carlicek place (carlito is crying) etc.
  • He is making mistake with nahuru (up) and dolu (down) – using it wise versa
  • He started to recognize colours, green (verde, zelena), modra -azul(blue), cervena-roho (red)
  • He understand basically everything, the question is what he wants to understand more than what he can :)
  • He is terribly active, he needs to spend lot of energy outside, at least 3 and more hours per day, especially now when there is good hot weather outside
  • He is very skillful to be overcoming any obstacle, he love to climb and discover new places
  • Last time he was cca 13Kg and 96 cm long
  • Also he had his first histerical incident on the sand yard with me, it was on 13.6. and I will remember very well forever I think. I just asked him to go home and  we had to leave, so he started to cry, lye down on the sand yard and did not want to leave at all. So I had to drag him and was pulling him after me. So all the mums were looking at me like at some herodes mum, because he was hysterical crying and I just kept going out. No motivation even Krtecek did not work. And even in the tram he was still crying until we got home. My mom just said: It reminds me somebody…..hehe just some her memories for my childhood. So basically I even can not be angry of him, since he has my energy.
  • And Edie loves to play with cubicles, so thanks Good Carlos is great constructor and has great immagination, so they are building together, here is their LEGO album

I think that most will say the pictures and videos I tried to make in time to be able to track my guys, so by albus which is in picassa web you will see the most and also videos on youtube, I will put here for you to see.

Carlitos first month

1 month = 30 days

Do you know what can happen in 30 days after you are born? if not then keep up reading and learn more about Carlitos life.

A little bit of statistics and facts:

  • He was born on 23.4. 2011 ( Edie was born on 23.2. 2009)
  • His weighted 3050 gr. and his length was 50 cm.
  • The time of his birth was 13:30 (Eduardo was born at 13:45…….nice coincidence).
  • When he was born he was crying, but they put him close to my face and he stopped. Probably he smelled me and could recognize me…….. such a wonderful moment that I started to cry.
  • Carlito was sleeping since beginning even 3-4 hours, something I did not experience before, I could even read a book in the hospital, something amazing for me. And instead of being stressed I very much enjoyed every moment with him. I was even helping other moms who were with me in the hospital. So curious. One was 36 and the other 39, both had their first child and both were a bit out of experience. Of course….. there is big difference of having the first and the second baby.
  • He has nice dark hair and big dark eyes. His skin color is closer to Venezuelan mix, as I would call it. He is not white like snowflake, like our babies in Czech Republic tend to be.
  • I did not want to compare, but can not hold myself. His look is very close to Eduardos. But he has my shape of lips and his head is a bit smaller with oval shape rather than rounded like Edie had.
  • His palms are not closed, he is having them videly opened and he is very strong. He usually grabs everything what is close to him.
  • He is holding his head more than fine. He is turning it to be able to see the whole interesting world around him. Definitely his curiosity is big and he loves to be exploring the world.
  • Luckily I have milk since the second day,  so I am feeding him. In this time I do not suffer from  nipple pain, at least not that much like with Edie. And I have more milk. So for Carlito it always takes only few minutes cca 5-10 to be feeded. Edie used to drink like 45 min. and then he was resting 15 min. And everything all over again.
  • Carlito is sleeping more on his own, in his bed. But during the night I have him with me in our bed, just to have him close and have easy time for breastfeeding. And also I don’t want to miss contact with my little angel. it is easier to control him if he is alive and sleeping and keep him warm.

And what did he experienced so far?

  • In his first week we took him for witch burning, since his grandma and grand-auntie from Venezuela are here on a visit, so we went with them.

  • He visited his both grandparents every weekend, in Brno and in the countryside (Javurek)
  • He visited Prague, to be presented at the Venezuelan embassy, since we want him to be registered as Venezuelan citizen too
  • He went with me for one business meeting in the company Anamax, which does HQ movies
  • And he spent most of his time  with his brother Eduardo who loves him very much. Eduardo is really happy when we let him carry Carlito and he is huging him all the time.

I think that Carlito is happy to be with us, he is smiling many times. I hope that you will enjoy our short story. That you will see that life is going on and many things can be managed with one, two and maybe in the future with three kids ;-)

Carlos has a message for you, since he was 4 days old he was smiling. There is nothing more powerful in this world that a smile and having a positive thinking. If you will keep your mind open and a smile on your face, believe me that many positive things will come to your life.

Second delivery – how was this one

Planning, C-cut and little angel Carlito

I decided to write a bit from the delivery time. Since I had in my head soooo many thoughts about how was my second pregnancy, how was the preparation for delivery and many other topics, but from all of that I decided to write only one post, picking something from every corner.

Just briefly about the pregnancy time:

Whole time seemed to be short. Much shorter than with Eduardo. There was not much time to enjoy that deeply although deeply in my heart I was looking forward to have my belly already gone and exchanged for the baby insight. All 9 month passed with the speed of fast train and during that time I managed several things I am proud of it. As most of my friends were saying, I am crazy, too active, you should rest more I think that in stead of that I was speeding the process. Just to share last month of the pregnancy my days were pretty bussy. Everyday my agenda was full till the last moments.

So to make you understand how the days of pregnant women can look like:

2 weeks before the delivery time I started to work for company Marz, which  is making dresses to the hospitals. To be able to provide our customers with fitting and custom made dresses I had to carry 30 Kg luggage with me, but easy after carrying Eduardo together with his trolley and shopping bags I had good training

I had several meeting with the companies because of Skupiner and also Breakfast for Business and Women association of enterpreneurs and managers in Brno. So all together made my days full of meetings. In the morning Marz and afternoon some meeting. I used to take Edie with me to cafeteria or made it in the time that my mom could take care of him. Belly was going with me :) so Carlito had more than 10 meetings in that time.

My health was strong and I felt mostly full of energy. Even Carlos did not want me to go for him to pick him in the airport, but since I had on 17th of april business trip to Breclav because of Marz dressing I could continue to Viena driving and pick my husband there and drive back. I was happy to have him here. Eduardo was so much laughing to see his daddy back and it was such natural come back like he would never leave Brno. Even he was gone for 3 months. He even stucked in Caracas for one more day, so he came to Brno not on the 17th but on the 18th of April. Coincidence but managable.

Last week of my pregnancy was also bussy, on Monday as I said I picked up Carlos from the airport, on Tuesday I had still to go and take few measures for Marz in one drug store and then I run to the hospital for general check up, how is Carlito. After I had nice food massage, which made me very relaxed. On Wednesday we had last meeting with business women club, you can see that we were enjoying together with Edie and we met interesting ambassador. She spend many years in Kenya and she made very interesting presentation. You can have a look here.

We also made trips to enjoy with Eduardo, since our daddy was not here so I tried to make our time interesting for us. We spend our time being together and enjoying.

And simply said: the time was gone. 9 month were over and I had to be ready to deliver. Carlos was here back in Brno, in the hospital they told me since my previous C-cut, I had to deliver to the date which was 22/23rd of april, so there was no more choice. Carlos mum was on the way from Venezuela and she and auntie missed her plane in Madrid so they were one day delayed :) but she arrived anyway, instead of 22nd on 23rd of april :)

When I was going to the hospital I had 72 Kg and something over 100 cm over the belly. I manaed one more foto session in the photographer to take pictures of my belly and we did some with Carlos at home too :)

We had also wonderful last day before delivery with both guys in the park. it was sunny and I did not felt at all that I am ordered into the hospital to deliver the after. It is such a weird if they tell you YOU HAVE TO COME at this day at that time and you know that after that time you will come home with baby. Enjoy with us our last day before delivery.

And the last day was over and in the afternoon I started to feel contractions, my eyes were smiling because it was good sign that maybee I will not need initiation by doctors and whole process will go naturally as I wanted. My friend Verunka, doctor of mine advice me to have hot bath and either the delivery will continue or will stop. And it stopped. So we decided with Carlos to boost the process again and we made love……but nothings :) and after all this I stopped believe that we will deliver naturally. So on Saturday 23rd at 7 am I went to hospital. They have me pill and my contractions started again, but still just in the bottom part of by belly. This contractions continued they have me another medicaments, nothing moved, they gave me epidural nothing helped so after they broke my water and found out that it is not clean like in the case of Eduardo, we had to go for C-cut again……….hmmmm nothing to do. We had to do what is the best for baby. At least I will not miss the moment when they take baby out of my belly and I will be able to see him.

I had two new experiences during the delivery day, cloister and epidural. Both were not painful and fine. I was surprised. And both should help me to deliver naturally which did not happened. Now it does not matter. With epidural I could feel at least what is happening and when they took Carlito out he was crying. It was 13:30 and they put him to my face .When he smelled my face he stopped to cry….that moment I started to cry from happiness. My baby was born. It was beautiful and healthy boy. Carlito was with us. All the pains which we have to hold as mothers were gone and love started to expand for both of my sons.

Since that time we are full family of 4, since that time I have two angels to take care, to love and to be loved. Eduardo is kissing and caressing his brother since early beginning. Such a lovely time.

And how our family looks now when little angel came to our lives?

I would honestly wish all of you to have this opportunity to get this experience. To create your own family circule. Because there is nothing more beautiful and more exciting than to give new life to this world and also to have this opportunity to be parents.
