Hi Patsy, thank you very much for sharing. Yes I agree with you. I would say that the most difficult moment is when we do not know what to do while baby is crying and then we automatically give our breast to calm him down, which in the end is not the best but it helps the situation and our nipples are getting harmed.

But that is the life, so i agree with you, breastfeeding should be as often baby wants but always for short time.

there are aslo creams to use to help to heal the nipples and also let the nipples on the air, to get heeled.

I’ve had three babies and all of them were different at breast feeding. I definitely agree with you that demand feeding is best for both you and the baby. I would also say that you should prepare your nipples prior to birth, especially if it is your first baby. The advice I was given is little and often in the first weeks. The first two or three days are crucial though, not only because colostrum is super milk, but the frequency can be harmful to your nipples, so take it easy and do it often, but for less time on each breast. That would be the advice I’d give to a new mother.

ahoj Zlati, díky za zprávu. Určitě je dobré o tom vědět, právěže gynekologové se tomu většinou vůbec nevěnují. Já jsem to při Šimonkovi taky pořádně nevěděla. Nosila jsem je chvíli v porodnici, ale to už bylo pozdě a hlavně jak se začalo dělat mlíko, tak je to dost nepříjemný na nošení, protože to mlíko z toho teče! Byla jsem celá olepená. Mám ty od Medely doma takže pro příště v pohodě, začnu brzo.
Co se týká laktačních poradkyň, tak s tím si nedělej starosti Měla jsem po porodu jednu doma a umím si je kdyžtak najít.
Jak se máte? Jak zvládáš dvě děti? Koukala jsem, že jsi měla už i business trip, tak to asi v pohodě I když ty jsi šílenec (to je obdiv!)
