I’m so proud of all of you!
I also turned m foot when I was little. It was with many many many excercises that I was able to overcome this. I still remember the positions I had to do (ballet style) against the wall. At firt it hurts but it was a 10-minutes rutine every day.

From my side I can also mention that he has become a nice boy.

He is starting to speak more in Spanish and we just set the rule that at home we all speak Spanish, even if I’m not at home Zlata follows this rule (in exchange, when we are out of home we are all switching to Czech, so I’m forced to practice more too

He helps us in taking care of Carlitos and entertain him when we need our hands for other things, and he plays nicely with his little brother.

Also his “mamitis” has decreased a bit, he stil asks for mami when she has to go out, but after I tell him that she would come later he calms and then we start to play or do something.

Regarding his motor skills, something that I consider relevant to mention is that he has been driving his bike already since christmas, a normal 2 well bike, keeping perfect balance and going even at high speed down the road.

He loves to climb stuff, rocks, ropes and games on his own, and jumps without fear. As Zlata said, he sometimes punches himself, but he just says “ouch” and continues.

He also likes to spend time with other kids, specially we have made a nice group of latino-czech couples with kids and we try to hang out together to practice Spanish, and he likes it.

My boy, is a becoming more and more a little man, and I’m very happy and proud to see how he is developing.

Hi Patsy, thank you very much for sharing. Yes I agree with you. I would say that the most difficult moment is when we do not know what to do while baby is crying and then we automatically give our breast to calm him down, which in the end is not the best but it helps the situation and our nipples are getting harmed.

But that is the life, so i agree with you, breastfeeding should be as often baby wants but always for short time.

there are aslo creams to use to help to heal the nipples and also let the nipples on the air, to get heeled.

I’ve had three babies and all of them were different at breast feeding. I definitely agree with you that demand feeding is best for both you and the baby. I would also say that you should prepare your nipples prior to birth, especially if it is your first baby. The advice I was given is little and often in the first weeks. The first two or three days are crucial though, not only because colostrum is super milk, but the frequency can be harmful to your nipples, so take it easy and do it often, but for less time on each breast. That would be the advice I’d give to a new mother.
